I think it’s funny when people don’t think a car with a live axle can handle the curves. I guess that’s why the BOSS ate up the M5 in all aspects of the road course. Yep that live axle was a real hiderance. If your suspension is set up correctly it’s a nonissue. If my car steps out in a corner it’s because I want it to.

I see the BMW crowd has excuses just like all the other imports. Right now My Saleen is hitting the ground with 617rwhp and with my gearing 200mph shouldn’t be an issue I have no speed limiter. I’ll find out the top end when I get it to the Texas Mile. Those automatic mirrors just add dead weight. But then again just about everything on a BMW qualifies as a boat anchor. I don’t have this car to pick up anyone, it’s just my adrinalin fix.

My Saleen Extreme at $75K plus what I’ve had done since I got it to make it even faster and handle even better is no rattle trap and I promise would leave your BMW for dead on the straight or the curves. You need to stop watching Top Gear. Last guy with a high end Audi that wanted to play got past up during a corner just to prove a point, and it just worse when the road got straight. At 150 MPH I’m just going into 5th and not even thinking about 6th gear yet how about you?

sorry buddy boy But I dont think so. Its like the assholes who try me with their shit vetts. I eat them up. My platform is nice and stable at and above 150MPH even in the curves. you live axle boys cant make that claim. plus my Benz shows I have the bucks to afford to obtain and maintain some high end pussy. Not some backyard barbeque bitches you may encounter in your souped up rattle box.

The point isn’t that a cast iron V6 is lighter than an aluminum V8 but that the six is one cylinder bay shorter than the eight, which shifts a good mount of the weight behind the front spindles. Besides the 2011 V6 is a 3.7 liter aluminum block and only shaved forty pounds off of the out going cast steel 4.0 liter V6. A V8 is heavier and that is shown in the conversion from steel to aluminum, where the V8 lost 102 pounds. Compare that to the forty pounds the V6 lost.
